Trying To Chase A Dream…

It Feels Like It’s Impossible…but is it Possiple?

We all have dreams that we want to achieve, and when I mean dreams -I don’t mean those dreams you have of unicorns jumping over potatos, I mean things we want to do, things we want to achieve in our life — to give ourselves purpose.

And a lot of the time we all feel like it’s not worth it, we will never do it, it’s just a wish that won’t come true…and I’ve been going through something simular these days but I am very keen to make it work.

So, what’s the dream that I’m trying to chase?

I have always loved music since I was a kid, and I miss playing my piano at the moment but, it’s just finding the time to…

However, what I do love doing — is writing down my thoughts, and analysing music and giving my opinion on it. I am also intersted in music production as well along with the music industry on how it all works, and that is also something else I like to write about as well.

So, one day I thought to myself:

I’m a stay at home mum, I’m only 23 I still have my life way ahead of me still…maybe I should try starting up my own small business on writing about music.

And then Melody Times was born!

My Logo to My Business

I won’t lie, it is hard work trying to get a business to become a business, because it’s not a business untill you get income,

and at the end of the day, I’m not really doing it for money — it’s mainly just for enjoyment…as like I said above I just love to write about music at the end of the day.

It’s something that makes me happy.

And not all money can bring happiness, yeah you need it to survive during the society we live in today, but you can still be happy with very little income at all.

Full Time Mum-Life trying to start up a small business…with 1 disability and 1 disorder…

It is really hard work, as I have dyslexia and PMDD and both do hold a lot of challenges, especially mental health ones with the hormones with the PMDD.

But…What is my overall goal though for my business project?

My goal is to help educate people on music like theory, about the music industry, subculters, etc. and to also help local bands in my area to find a new audaince weather that’s a local audiance or from other lisnters around the world.

What would be nice to do is get my magazine printed offically as at the moment the price is to much for me to make that happen, unless I make it a really packt magazine and the first issue isn’t a packt magazine…

Looking far into the future now with my long term goals is that — if it really does get sucessful, I would hire staff and I would offer an advertising service for local bands and events aka writing an advert for them or writing a press release and sending it off for them.

So, that’s my dream…what’s yours?
